HAWKSBRIDGE INSTITUTE is a music education conference center dedicated
to the promotion of String Orchestra programs in public schools. Located in seacoast NH, we offer workshops,
seminars, and concerts for music teachers and their students. Our purpose is to promote String Orchestra programs in public
schools. It is our express mission to serve music teachers and their students by providing strategies, master classes, workshops,
and concerts that will instruct and inspire the next generation of musicians. We are a 501(c)(3) educational corporation
and are registered with the IRS. Our Letter of Determination is available upon request. Our Master Classes
are run by outstanding musicians and teachers. Please email us for a current list of classes and our 12 Steps To A Successful String Program. It is available free
of charge and portions of it will be posted on this website. We are presently raising funds for the rental
of a world-class studio. The Hawksbridge Institute will rent a stunning recording studio/conference room which is
95% complete. We are eager to begin offering our Master Classes in the new facility in January,2009.The studio boasts
18' ceilings, a control tower with the latest recording gear, a 1913 Chickering Grand piano, and stunning views of the
peaceful 40 acre surroundings. An elegant dining bar area for participant lunches is nearly complete as well. Nicknamed
"The Cathedral," the facility is housed in an 1850s renovated stable. The workshop and conference fees will assist
us in paying the rental fees for the facility and surrounding gardens.
Participants may explore the grounds on
foot or by golf cart. Nature trails created by landscape designer Ward Summer Dilmore are being developed with the help of
Harold Bragg of Down To Earth Landscaping of Kensington, NH. Featuring exotic plant species from around the world, and ponds,
springs, and streams, the paths lead from the Conference Center to the Memorial Music Garden for the late teacher and composer
Hermon C. Dilmore and on to new locations that are being developed for memorial music gardens slated for opening in the Spring
of 2009.
Memorial Concert Gardens inspire teachers, composers, and students. The music gardens are available for participants
as practice areas and for ensemble concerts. We hope you will consider funding a memorial music garden in memory of a loved one. Each is designed by Ward Summer Dilmore and features exotic trees and plant
specimens to create a stunning tribute to your loved one. Because we are a 501(c)(3) educational institute recognized
by the IRS, your donation is tax-deductable.
